Jacquard - Acid Dye

Acid dyes are the gold standard for coloring protein fibers — nothing produces more brilliant, luscious results. Jacquard Acid Dyes are highly concentrated, powdered hot-water dyes that deliver level, uniform color during immersion dyeing. They exhaust completely and won't bleed or fade with washing. Beyond fiber dyeing, these versatile dyes can also be used for direct painting or printing applications with steam setting.

Don't be alarmed by the name — the only acid involved is the white vinegar or citric acid you add to the dye bath.

• Best For: Protein fibers and nylons — silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, feathers, etc.
