Noro Rittou — Wool, Silk & Mohair Worsted | Made in Japan

Named for the Japanese term for "the first day of winter," Rittou is a yarn that carries the quiet beauty of the season within every strand. Each colorway is dyed on naturally brown wool to evoke late autumn and early winter landscapes — muted, rich, and deeply atmospheric — using Noro's signature color-changing gradient method developed in their Japan studio.

A warm blend of 70% wool, 15% silk, and 15% mohair, Rittou delivers the cozy insulation of wool, the luminous sheen of silk, and the soft halo of mohair in one beautifully balanced worsted weight yarn. With a generous 361 yards per 150g ball, it knits up seamlessly with fewer ends to weave in — perfect for sweaters, cardigans, accessories, and throws that tell the story of the season.

Noro yarns embrace the Japanese philosophy of accepting and celebrating the natural unevenness and non-uniformity of nature. All animal fibers are sourced from certified organic farms, and many processes are still done by hand or on traditional machinery — as eco-friendly as possible, from farm to finished skein.
